In person scheduling at the Village Hall for heavy-item pick up will begin Friday, May 1, 2026. Any questions regarding the program, please call Village Hall at 518-869-7562. This year, there are two options for disposing of your heavy items:
DROP OFF RULES & REGULATIONS:
- You may select either Saturday or Monday for your drop-off date (June-July)
- Drop-off time will be 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
- Items may be dropped off on your assigned date at the Department of Public Works.
- The following vehicles will not be allowed: oversized vehicles, trailers and/or rented vehicles. Items discarded must be from Village households.
- A copy of this form must be provided at drop-off.
- There is a non-refundable fee of $25, due at the time of sign up.
PICK UP RULES & REGULATIONS
- You may select a Monday for your pick-up date (June-July)
- Items must be outside at your curb by 6:00 a.m. on Monday of your pick-up
- There is a non-refundable fee of $200, due at the time of sign up.
What we WILL take
- Wood (MUST be broken down into 4 ft. sections and all nails must be removed)
- Furniture
- Clothing
- Glass (Must be labeled in a box)
- Empty paint cans
- Household garbage
What we WILL NOT take
- Hazardous waste (Pool chemicals, fertilizers, paint, propane tanks,gasoline,oil)
- Car batteries
- Car Tires
- Construction Materials (siding, shingles,bricks)
- NO TELEVISIONS
